Clinical Effect of Enoxacin (B-MARKS^(®)100㎎/200㎎) in Otorhinolaryngological Infections

Abstract

|
Clinical effect of Enoxacin(B-MARK®) was evaluated on 30 patients with otorhinolaryngological infections at our department for 3 months. It was given per orally at dose, of 300mg in children, 600mg in adult and one week for otitis media, acute tonsillitis and acute pharyngolaryngitis, two weeks for paranasal sinusitis. The following results were obtained:
1.Therapeutic effect for otitis media was observed in 7 out of 10 cases, giving Efficacy rate of 70%.
2. In paranasal sinusitis clinical effectiveness was 7 out of 10 cases, with efficacy rate of 70%.
3. Efficacy rate in acute tonsillitis and acute pharyngolaryngitis was 90%, 9 out of 10 cases.
4. Side effect was seen in 2 cases, mild nausea in one case, headache and dizziness in another case but not so serious to discontinue the medication.
